Couples Sessions

Many couples wait until they get engaged to use a professional photographer. Many others stop using a professional photographer for themselves after they get married. This is why I always take a part of every family session to get some shots of the happy couple without their kids. In the same way you want photos of your kids growing up, you should also have photos taken as your relationship grows. Whether you just hit 6 months of dating or your 60th wedding anniversary, you should have professional photos to document every stage of your relationship.

Here at Luz Photography, We love to do couples portrait sessions. Engagement sessions are included with every Wedding package we offer. Engagement sessions are tons of fun, but we love couples at every stage of their relationship. Let us help you tell your story so you can have pictures to go along with all of those memories.

Available Couples Sessions

Half session ~ $175

Up to a Half hour session
includes 10 digital images
in studio only

Let's face it, some of us like getting their picture taken a lot more than others. A Half session is good choice when your other half doesn't really want to be there. It's enough time to gets some great photos but quick enough that you can get them to come back next year 😉 This is a 30 minute session at my studio that includes your favorite 10 digital images.

Full session ~ $275

Up to an hour session
includes 20 digital images
in studio or on location

This is my favorite regular session. I get to know you better and get the opportunity to get more creative with the extra time. This is a one hour session that can be done in my studio or on location. I have several beautiful locations we can go to if you don't have one in mind.

On location Full sessions can be done pretty much anywhere we are legally allowed to be. There is a $1 per 1 way mile fee for anywhere more than 20 miles from the studio. So 30 miles from my studio would just be a $10 travel fee. Just a few of my favorite locations within 20 miles include:

Wickham park and Case Mountain in Manchester,CT
Bigelow Hollow state park in Union,CT
Valley Falls park in Vernon, CT.

My favorite on location site in Connecticut outside the 20 miles is Harkness memorial state park in Waterford, CT. This location is absolutely stunning and just a $44 travel fee.

The Process

1. The Consultation

The consultation can be as simple as a quick phone call or as in depth as a visit to the studio to detail every aspect of what you are looking for. It's all up to you.

2. Book Your Session

Once you decide which session you want and when you want it, just pay a $50 deposit (which goes toward the total cost of your session) and you're ready to go.

3. Strike a Pose

Time for your session. Don't forget to bring all of your outfit changes and any props you wanted to include. Relax, and just be yourself.

4. Pick Your Favorites

Within 48 hours of your session you will receive your proofs. These are all unedited images from your session. Each session includes some images. If you want more than what's included, the price for additional images will be included in the email with your proofs.

5. Download and Share

Once you have picked all of your favorites, please allow up to 2 weeks for all of the final edits to be done. Your finished images will be sent to you via

email to a password protected online web album for you to download. There are a variety of physical products available you can purchase right

rom your online web album. If you only want the digitals, you're done!
